The Rust 70s Suede Shearling Jacket

Rust is an epic and truly holy grail rare suede and shearling jacket by Topshop, she is true 1970s and is fantastic quality. She has such an epic colour and is a wrap shape with matching belt. Her shearling is soft and fluffy and her suede is beautiful. She is an iconic 70s coat and one of those items that will make any outfit look amazing! She actually was my coat, but no longer fits, so I really do hope she finds the best home today!

This girl would work on UK sizes 8/10 small 12 best. Could possibly work on a UK 6 too.

Bust - up to 36" approx

Length -  29"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

Rust is clean and ready to wear. She is in good condition with a few minor signs of wear, as with all vintage suede, does have small marks and slight fade in places. All vintage suede does have a particular scent, I wouldn't necessarily say it was a bad one, she has been in storage for a long time, to keep her smelling fresh spray some fabric spray such as febreeze on her shearling and inside and air when possible. She is all round in very good condition for one of these coats!

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
