The Pink Rose, she is a super rare 1970s pink broderie anglaise prairie dress by Vivien Smith. She is a cotton girl and her skirt is lined.
The Pink Rose is simply one of the best and rarest prairies we have ever had at Pansy. Vivien Smith's early 70s designs are rare and very sort after, she was based in York, UK and her garments are the epitome of British 70s fashion. She has the best ever extremely full ruffled and gathered tiered skirt, there is literally SO much fabric in this girl. She also has the most gorgeous broderie anglaise floral print pink fabric with burgundy velvet tipping and pin tucking detail. Another stunning feature on this girl is that stunning statement pie crust collar, it just screams WOW. If this girl fitted me she would not be for sale. Its about time she was worn.
I acquired this babe from a woman who had kept an extensive collection of her dresses from the 70s, I can only imagine her previous life. She is in stunning condition and it is clear to see she has been looked after for many many years.
This girl measures to a size 8/10.
Bust - 35" - 36"
Waist - 28"
Length - 54"
The Pink Rose has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. I best recommend hand washing this beauty in warm water (not hot) with a small amount of detergent and drip drying to preserve colour. She is all round excellent condition.
She has minimal signs of vintage wear. But please bare in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear we will state.
