This holy grail rare Jean Varon ensemble has lived upon my rails for what feels like a lifetime since I unearthed her, and it truly is such a painful sale letting her go. She is one of the rarest Jean Varon pieces to ever grace my studio door, and is truly a magnificent find. She has a heavy woven wool dress with gorgeous textural design in a golden hued palette and comes with a matching labelled cotton blouse with gorgeous high frill collar and deep cuffed voluminous sleeves.
Jean Varon is a British fashion designer whose name became synonymous with sharp, modern glamour in the late 1960s and 1970s. Known for sleek silhouettes, bold use of colour, and graphic detailing, Varon’s work captured the confidence and cultural shift of the era. His designs were worn by icons of music, film, and high society, cementing his reputation as one of the defining voices of British fashion during a period of radical change. This ensemble represents Varons voice in fashion to the core, and truly is a museum worthy find.

She has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Dry clean or cold hand wash. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear. The bottom two buttons to her blouse have been replaced, this is barely noticable and does not detract.
This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.
