The Bewitch, she is an unbelievable bewitching rare dream dress by Regamus. She is made from a stunning high quality intricate lace and silk organza. She is lined.
Bewitch is truly outstanding and a true Heirloom indeed. Regamus was a couture label, favoured by Princess Diana and other royals during the 1970s. This beauty is an exceptional example of a Regamus dress and this is truly a rare, one off, opportunity to own such a piece.
She has the most amazing witchy cut, with long fitted sheer lace sleeves with ruffle cuffs, a deep open ruffly sultry neckline and a nipped in waist with full skirt and sash belt, which can be removed. The underlayer of her skirt is the most stunning olive green silk organza and there is also another lining underneath which gives it such amazing structure. Her lace is truly beautiful and so intricate. Bewitch is the most bewitching of them all, and truly a remarkable piece of fashion history to behold.
This girl measures to approx a UK size 8/10.
Bust - 35"
Waist - 28"
Length - 56"
For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.
Bewitch has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Please have her dry cleaned or spot clean when needed. Velvet is a luxurious fabric, please always treat her kindly. She is in goodvintage condition, the only flaw to note is there are a few nibbles to her sash belt. These are very minor and unnoticeable and do not detract. See last photo for more.
This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.
Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements. Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
