The Eden Rose

Meet the beautiful and HOLY GRAIL rare Eden Rose, a fine example of a rare early 1970s Laura Ashley Made in Wales dream. This beauty is just amazing and I have never came across this cut before in an Early Laura Ashley piece. Like all Laura Ashley dresses, this beauty is crafted in beautiful quality cotton with gorgeous cotton lace trims. She has a super full skirt with flounce, a frill bodice feature, a high collar and beautiful voluminous sleeves. She is in a gorgeous dusky pink shade with delicate print. I cannot wait to see where Eden Rose lives out the next chapter of her life.

This girl would work on UK sizes 4/6 best.

Bust - up to 31"/32"

Waist - 25"/26"

Length -  56"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

Eden Rose has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. She can safely be washed at home on a cool setting. She is in good vintage condition, like all Laura Ashley dresses, due to the hand printed technique of the fabric, she will have some slight misprints and soft colour differences. This comes with ALL Laura Ashley dresses, and truthfully it is one of the things that makes them so beautiful. This dress has a miss print on the back of her skirt. She also has a faint very small mark on her skirt, please see last photos for more, although the mark is so faint, it barely shows in the photo.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
