The Edwina

Meet Edwina, she is a stunning 70s edwardian style prairie dream dress by Fashion Mouse Stratford on Avon. She is beautifully crafted from a chiffon fabric, unsure of specific content, probably a manmade fibre, and she is lined. She has a beautiful silhouette with high collar, nipped in waist, straight sleeves with cape overlay and a long flowing skirt with a flounce. She has a gorgeous blue floral print and is adorned in gorgeous lace placements and frills. Edwina is a really beautiful dress, and I just know she will be loved so much in her next abode.

This girl would work on UK sizes 8/10 best.

Bust - up to 36"

Waist - 28"

Length -  58.5"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

The Edwina has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Dry Clean Only. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear. Her lace panels have a pinky tinge, this did not show on the photos at all. I think this may be colour run. It is really minor and not too noticeable, but it is there, so worth a mention. This has been reflected in her price.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
