Meet Fable, she is an absolutely BREATHTAKING and super super rare indian block print dream dress by Earlybird, who is absolutely one of the best boutique labels of the time. Honestly, no words can describe how I feel about this dress, she is by far the rarest and most precious Earlybird dress I have sourced to date. She is made from a cheesecloth style gauze cotton which is super soft and comfortable and has remarkable pink block printed patterns throughout. Look close at her print, it is sort of like you are entering a mystical world, filled with creatures and kingsmen. Honestly I have never ever seen block printing like it.

Her silhouette is truly beautiful, with a square neckline and low back, voluminous sleeves and a super full flowing skirt, she truly is a bohemian dream indeed. She has sweet little cotton lace trim detailing and panels of contrasting print. I promise, you will never find this dress again, she is a true true treasure, I can only just imagine the stories she could tell. If she fit me, there is no way I would ever consider parting ways, but I hope she truly does find the home she deserves.

This girl measures to approx UK size 8/10, could also possibly work on a UK 6 too.

Bust - up to 34" approx, is hard to measure due to the cut of her sleeves.

Waist - 28" does sit quite high

Length -  60"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

The Fable has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. She can safely be washed at home on a cool setting. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear, which is to absolutely be expected with a dress like this. She has a few flaws in her fabric, which are probably manufacturing flaws rather than damage, as this kind of Indian cotton gauze always carries this charm. She also has a couple of faint marks, which really are barely noticeable. Please see last few photos for images of these. I have secured a couple of weaker spots with interfacing on the inside, just to strengthen the fabric, although this was probably not even needed, and cannot be seen from the outside. The bigger mark is on the lower part of the side of the skirt and is absolutely buried in fabric and is so unnoticeable.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.
