Meet Fable, she is an insane holy grail rare exceptionally collectible Laura Ashley 1970s made in Wales 'Deer and Hound' cotton dream dress. This is a collectors piece, and a museum worthy example of one of LA's most coveted animal prints which I have never before seen come up for sale. I have treasured this dress for what feels like an eternity, and it really is a sad moment listing her to share with one of you, and in all honesty, I wouldn't mind cherishing her for a little longer..
She is beautifully made from a beautiful high quality cotton with the most stunning print in a beautiful moody shade of blue. She has a square frill neckline, puff sleeves, a fitted bodice with high waist and a stunning full flowing skirt. She has incredible pleat detail to her lower skirt and waist, and when worn is one of the most flattering versatile cuts.
This is a highly desirable and very collectible dress, something I can safely say very sadly I will not come across again, and is something to cherish forever..

She has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Dry clean only. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear. For being an early LA she is in exceptional condition, she has one area to her neckline which has very lightly yellowed, but this is only visible from under the frill. I wouldn't attempt to remove this, it really is not a major flaw, nor noticeable, and you risk ruining the vibrancy of the fabric, which seems almost unworn.
This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear.
