The Festive Rose

Meet Festive Rose, she is a beautiful and rare 1970s cotton prairie dream in a beautiful festive shade of red by one of my favourite boutique labels of the time Quad. Festive Rose has the most beautiful floral print, beautiful white broderie anglaise frills and a stunning red velvet ribbon detailing. She has a classic prairie silhouette with a high collar, straight sleeves with frill cuffs, a high waist and a long skirt with frill hem. Festive Rose is perfect for christmas and beyond, I have saved her for such a long time ready to do this edit, and I hope she finds such a lovely home!

This girl measures to approx UK size 8/10 could also possibly work on a UK 6 nicely.

Bust - up to 35"

Waist - 27" does sit high

Length -  56"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

The Festive has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Remove ribbon if planning to wash, or dry clean. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear, some very slight colour run to her white frill under the ribbon sash, and a few other minor signs of wear.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
