The Pansy's Favourite

The Pansy's Favourite, she is an absolutely OUTSTANDING rare handmade 70s cotton needlecord prairie beauty.

Pansy's Favourite is honestly called such for a reason. It is so so rare to find printed cord prairies, and especially printed cord prairies this good. She has the most gorgeous arts & crafts style print, very reminiscent of William Morris, with beautiful rusty coloured orange flowers on a grey and black base. She has contrasting black panelling to her bodice sides, cuffs, neckline and lower skirt. Her silhouette is absolutely amazing, with voluminous sleeves, square neckline, and super full skirt. This beauty is honestly a rare beauty, a one of a kind gem, I hope she finds the home she deserves.

This girl measures to approx UK size 6/8, could possibly work on a small UK 10 too. See measurements below.

Bust - up to 34" approx - hard to measure due to the cut of her sleeves.

Empire Waist - up to 32" - slightly elasticated at the front.

Length -  54.5"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

Pansy's Favourite has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. She can safely be washed at home on a 30 degree setting. She is in good vintage condition.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
