The Pink Riding Hood

Meet Pink Riding Hood, she is an UNBELIEVABLE and super rare 1970s handmade cotton prairie dream dress in a rare Little Red Riding Hood print, by Concord fabrics USA. Honestly, whoever made this beauty had style! These novelty print dresses never ever come up in cotton prairies and I cannot believe I am actually able to offer this to you today! Thank you to my Prairie Godmother for sending this my way!

As well as that amazing print, this beauty also has the most gorgeous silhouette with a huge super full skirt which has been beautifully gathered around the waist, sweet flutter sleeves and a scoop neckline. She also has beautiful ricrac detailing and a beautiful gathered flounce at her skirt.This is the kind of treasure you will NEVER find again, she is a complete one off and truly is one of the most precious dresses I have ever ever had. I can't wait to see how happy she makes her new owner.

The Pink Riding Hood has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. She can safely be washed at home on a cool setting. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
