The Prettiest Peacock

The Prettiest Peacock, she is a STUNNING super super rare 1970s Laura Ashley made in wales cotton peacock print prairie dream. She is not lined.

The Prettiest Peacock, she is one of the most spectacular pieces we have ever had here at Pansy. The Laura Ashley peacock print is one of the most coveted of all. She is in a super soft sage green tone, it is quite hard to tell on the photos due to the super amazing print in white. She is in my favourite Laura Silhouette with the scoop neck, cotton lace panelling, super full sweeping skirt and cropped puff sleeves. We ADORE this dress here at Pansy, She truly is a lifetime, heirloom and collectors piece. We cannot wait to see where she lives her next life...

This girl measures to approx UK size 6/8 small 10.

Bust - 36"

Empire Waist - 30"

Length -  56"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

The Prettiest Peacock  has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Please have this girl dry cleaned or soak on COLD water with mild handwash detergent. She is in good vintage condition, the only thing to note is she has very faint underarm discolouring, otherwise she is more or less pristine for her age. See last photo for more.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
