The Rarest Rose

The Rarest Rose, she is a STUNNING and SUPER RARE very early Laura Ashley Made in Wales cotton prairie dream. She is not lined.

The Rarest Rose, she is called this for a reason. This beauty is probably one of the most coveted pieces we have ever ever had here at Pansy. We estimate she dates from around the late 60s. This print and cut of vintage Laura Ashley is the rarest and most coveted to own. She has the most amazing silhouette with huge full sweeping drape skirt, contrasting panelled prints, puff sleeves and the most stunning natural cotton fabric ever. They surely do not make them like this anymore. She is a total investment piece and a dress for an absolute lifetime, we cannot wait to see where she carries on her long and amazing life...

This girl measures to approx UK size 6/8 small busted 10.

Bust - 34"

Waist - FREE

Length -  55"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

The Rarest Rose has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. Please have this beauty dry cleaned or rinse in COLD water with mild hand wash detergent.  She is in good vintage condition, she has some very minor age related marks to the side of her skirt, they are very discreet and unnoticeable. They would probably fully lift with another dry clean. Otherwise very good. See last photo for more.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
