The Star

The Star, she is an AMAZING rare 70s lurex crochet dream dress. No composition labels as she is handmade but pretty sure she is a wool lurex blend.

Star is AMAZING and absolutely is the star of the show! These crochet dresses are so rare and special, can you just imagine the amount of work and love that has gone into this beaut! She has amazing flared sleeves, drawstring tie at her waist a scoop neck and button closure back. She is a light gold shade with shimmering lurex threads.. I can't wait to see where this beauty ends up. She is absolutely a dream dress indeed...

This girl would work on UK sizes 10/12 possibly a small 14 best.

Bust - 38"

Waist - 32"

Length -  52" - 54"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

Star has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. She can safely be washed at home on a cool setting. She is in good vintage condition but she isn't perfect. She has several stains in places which I have tried to lift, they aren't too noticeable as they blend in with the gold and she has a small mend at the very edge of her neckline. These have been HEAVILY reflected in this beauties price and without these marks she would be £175 minimum.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.

Here at Pansy we know vintage sizes are very different from modern sizes, and we pride ourselves on offering accurate measurements with approximate modern UK sizing to ensure a your Pansy purchases will be a good fit.
Although we do offer approx modern sizing it is also very helpful if you know your own measurements. If you are unsure of these, an easy way of estimating them is measuring one of your own garments, that fits well, laid flat. Measure in inches, across from pit to pit, flat across the waist and double both of these measurements.  Our length measurements are mostly taken from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem.
