Meet Sweet Honey, she is an absolutely gorgeous and SUPER SUPER RARE 1960s Laura Ashley Made in Wales dream, she has the black label which is the earliest label and is the earliest version of this cut I have sourced to date. Honestly this beauty is divine and is a remarkable piece of British fashion history. She has that classic scoop neck Laura Ashley silhouette we all love, but, what makes this beauty so special is with her being earlier than most of the other scoop neck LA's, this beauty has unique wider creamy coloured lace placements, unlike the thinner white versions you see on the later model of this dress. There are also other slight differences with this one, which clearly indicate she is a lot older, she has a deep flattering cinched waistband, and the pintucking to her bust is also different.

She has a golden creamy coloured base, this was very hard to photograph accurately, please make sure you also see the photos and videos on my instagram. She has a beautiful pink blossom style print, which I fall in love with time and time again, the palette of this dress is just all kinds of yum. She has 3/4 length sleeves with shirred cuffs, a super full flowing skirt with flounce and a gorgeous scoop neckline.

She has clearly been well worn and loved in her previous life, I imagine her original owner was a proud one who loved to show her off in style, and I just know she will make her next owner feel exactly the same.

This girl would work on UK sizes 6/8/10 best.

Bust - up to 34" - 35"

Waist - 27" - this can be cinched with attached waist ties.

Length -  59"

For reference our mannequin, Norma, measures to a UK 6.

The Sweet Honey has been freshly laundered and is ready to wear. She can safely be hand washed at home in cool water and hung to dry. She is in good vintage condition, she has a few minor signs of wear, which are absolutely and undoubtedly to be expected with a Laura Ashley dress as early as this due to the dyes used to create these marvels. She has what looks like some faint colour transfer in places, which comes with most early LA's and a few other subtle marks and signs of wear including very slight spotting fade (this is extremely slight). She has very slight darkening under the arms and very slight scuffing at her hem, neither of which are noticeable. This has been reflected in her price, quite dramatically, in pristine condition this would be well over £300. See last photos for more.

This beauty has minimal signs of vintage wear, but please bear in mind that our pieces are true vintage, they’ve been danced in and they have been lived in, so all of our garments will carry your usual signs of vintage wear. Anything that we think is outside of what would class as usual vintage wear, we will state.
